[obligatory apology about the lack of posts]
The title of this post is a direct quote from one of my students today. I was asked with by a first grader girl (equivalent of high school sophomores in the US). I seriously took a good 2 minutes trying to figure out if that was really what she was trying to ask. But yes, indeed, it was. Which I learned quite clearly when she followed the question with: "I like poop. And I like diarrhea." I sort of just nodded and told her that was important and she should put it in their weather report skit.
Later she called me back over to ask me what my favorite poop was, which she then changed to favorite animal's poop. We discussed this for a bit. It was rather surreal.
This was also the same class where yesterday I had a boy come up to me and say, "It's rainy today. It is very cold today. You are very beautiful." 1-2 is quite an amusing class, though difficult to keep focused.
Also today, I had a student (in the same class again) try to get me to smell his shoe. Not entirely sure why. I politely declined.
Well, I guess this means my students are finally getting comfortable with me?
